Frankly, America, I Don’t Give A Damn!

It’s the middle of August and I’m sure all my snarky readers are taking advantage of the long hot summer days vacationing with their family somewhere fabulous, right? Wrong! Let me guess, if you could afford a small vacation this year, your family might be; camping, taking a day trip to Disneyland, maybe a picnic at the beach or just a vacation at home lounging in an inflatable swimming pool with hot dogs cooking on the BBQ. The latter choice sounds more like what the average American family is doing this year if they still have a backyard in which to enjoy such a luxury.

Our, do-as-I-say-and-not-as-I do president has told the American people several times this year, that “we all need to sacrifice” during these tough financial times.  Well Mr. President, I haven’t witnessed too much belt tightening at your house lately.  What with all those rounds of golf and seven vacations so far this year you really are a set-an-example kind of guy. Let’s explore the vacations that this president feels he’s entitled to at our expense:

January: A wonderful family and friends vacation in the Aloha islands of Hawaii…Hang Loose Bro!

April: The royal couple retreat to the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, North Carolina for some hiking and alone time….Lifestyle’s of the Rich &  Famous!

May: A Memorial Day family trip to Chicago…To absorbed in  his vacation to even remember our fallen soldiers. Pitiful!

July: Bar Harbor, Maine for more Obama family fun…..Clambake/lobster time!

August: Michelle (don’t call me Eva Peron), daughter  Sasha and forty friends fly off to exquisite Spain.  Some of the cost paid by the few Americans still  working……Ole!

August: A very short trip to Florida’s Gulf Coast where our president and his daughter had their picture taken swimming in the Gulf?  Excuse me – just another spin by the Whitehouse because they weren’t swimming in the gulf at all….Don’t you just hate those quick turn-around trips?

August: A ten-day vacation is planned for the entire family this month in Martha’s Vineyard. Why not just make it a month, I mean how much can you really see during such a short vacation?

Did I miss any Obama family trips?  Probably, but blood is shooting from eyes as I think of all the American families just struggling with everyday issues like feeding their children while our president snubs his nose at these stressed out families and flaunts his special family time back at them.  Let’s see, there are four more months left in 2010 how many more vacations will he and his family require?

The following time I learn a weblog, I hope that it doesnt disappoint me as much as this one. I mean, I do know it was my choice to learn, but I truly thought youd have something attention-grabbing to say. All I hear is a bunch of whining about one thing that you would repair if you happen to werent too busy looking for attention.

I’m impressed, I must say. Really hardly ever do I encounter a weblog that’s both educative and entertaining, and let me inform you, you have got hit the nail on the head. Your concept is excellent; the problem is one thing that not sufficient persons are talking intelligently about. I am very comfortable that I stumbled across this in my search for something relating to this.
