See My Dog, See ME!

This is another example of people who are totally nuts!  I’m walking at the beach today enjoying the fresh air and secretly hoping that the three mile walk will help me drop several pounds…..okay, so a girl can dream!  Anyways, I notice in the far distance, something extremely colorful coming my way.  I say to my husband “what the hell is that?”  As it comes closer, we both look at each other and shake our heads in total disgust because headed in our direction is a hot pink poodle! That’s right some moronic individual has decided that dyeing her little dogs coat hot pink is trendy and cute!  My husband looks at me and says “that’s just wrong.”  I couldn’t agree more!

It’s true, that dogs should be groomed and if you want to dress up your little doggy in a sweater or necklace well then, you’re probably pushing reality but in today’s world it’s acceptable.  However, dyeing a dog’s entire coat hot pink is beyond insane!  Are these people so narcissistic that they need to draw even more attention to themselves by walking around with a hot pink dog?  See my dog, see ME!

They do walk among us my friends and we all must be on guard because their kind seems to be growing.  Be afraid, be very afraid!

I think Mom, all the pink poodles in the U.S. should go on strike and refusing to be humiliated like this ever again! I bet you, the ACLU would take up their cause….oh yeah, this is a perfect cause for the ACLU!

i dyed my poodle pink for breast cancer awareness. my mother died from breast cancer and every year i dye my dog in tribute to my mother. not for me or attention. for her. i wear a ribbon, i walk the walks, donate money, and buy products with the ‘ pink’ label. so not everyone does it for vanity purposes. and one should not assume such things. i am 26 and my mother was only 43 when she died, to think she would 47. so when i go on the walk next time, i will have my pink poodle with me. love you ma :’)

  29. kinilani says:

I admire your dedication to Breast Cancer Awareness and you are correct that there is a difference between a loving daughter showing respect for a Mother she misses and a narcissistic fool trying to gain attention. You sound like a wonderful young woman who would make any Mother proud and your efforts to promote the “Pink” are awesome. I’m a huge dog lover and seeing dyed dogs really upsets me. Dogs are not ornaments and should be cherished, loved and cared for by their human parents. So, I stand by my blog but I understand your concern and respect your comment. Keep up the hard work because women like you are are a rarity in this very selfish world!

A picture of a little pink poodle led me here. I read the first post and I must say, WOW!! Thats a whole lot of hate and verbal spew over a cute little dog. Then I realized what type of site I was on. A site for breading hate and negativity. Well please keep it to this site, we’ve got enough out in the real world.

    Hey Ron,
Thanks for visiting my blog. Hope you return to share your thoughts! I personally, may not agree with what you have to say but that is how we “do it” in America. We still have freedom of speech in this country. Let’s hope that we continue to enjoy that freedom forever!
